Donning an all-red ensemble (plus red, white and blue shoes!) Lady Gaga nailed her version of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Starting relatively softly, the singer, who is up for an Oscar at the end of the month and who will also perform a David Bowie tribute at the Grammys next week, slowly built intensity throughout the number before a climactic, powerful conclusion.
